As far as I can tell, there is no way to export metadata about resources inside Academia to outside bibliographical management software such as EndNote or Zotero. (I use EndNote.) On most publishers, OPACs, and journal databases like JSTOR today, one can export in singulra or in batch the metadata on say articels or books for use in your bibliogaphical resource manager software, which is absolutey huge and common for scholars. It should be easy to implement this in Academia.edu - it's essentially just a fiel crosswalk of a very conventional type. It would make special sense to do this in Academia.edy since this is a place where not institutions but authors themselves marshal all of their or their most important work. Grey literature such as white papers also appear in Academia.edu and these can be and often are also cited in other scholarship (despite their greyness). Academia.edu can be and should be the ideal place for such literature to be collected, discoverable, and exportable for citation and use by others.
It's a HUGE gap - astonishing
it's why I don't use Premium
